Schedule of design, sewing and pattern cutting courses

Below is a schedule of courses which run on a Saturday from September to November. You can find all of theses courses in my store . This schedule is just to give you the names and the dates of the the coures which we offer in date order.  It will also tell you if it is a design, sewing or pattern cutting course. Times of courses  and what skill set it is like beginners, intermediate or advanced. So please take a look and if anything takes your fancy go along to my store and book  a lovely course  of your choice.

  1. Saturday-Sewing for beginners- How to sew a simple skirt Snapshot one day course
    10am to 4pm
    How to sew a simple skirt-Beginners You will cut out and make a simple skirt from one of my simple straight skirt patterns. This course will cover how to take your measurements correctly, choose the correct size and how to know how much fabric to buy, there will be simple instructions for you to follow and I will be there to guide you through the hole process from cutting out a toile and fitting a toile to cutting the skirt out in the fabric of your choice I will let you know what fabric you should choose from and how much to bring with you. All of our courses are run on a maximum of a 4 to 1 ratio or a 2 to 1 ratio which means 4 students to one tutor or two students to one tutor. This course will start at 10am and finish at 4pm and I would like you to arrive at 9-30am so that you can settle in please. £89

  2. Saturday-Design for the intermediate- How to redesign your wardrobe
    10am to 4pm
    Design for the intermediate- How to redesign your wardrobe We all have clothes that are nearly in fashion in our wardrobe or are tired looking and we also have clothes that we love to wear but the fabric they are made out of are dated. This course will show you how to redesign your wardrobe by making a few new additions to enhance what you have or designing a new piece from one you already have.

  3. Saturday-Pattern cutting for beginners- Pattern cutting taster day skirt block to toile, design and cut
    10am to 4pm
    Pattern cutting for beginners- Pattern cutting taster day skirt block to toile, design and cut Come and pattern cut a simple straight skirt for yourself that will fit you perfectly. You will make a basic skirt block pattern and then cut it out in calico and make a toile. You will then do a fitting and then choose a design of skirt you would like to make and adapt your pattern accordingly.

    10am to 4pm
    Sewing for beginners- Sewing from commercial patterns for beginners Everyone loves to sew from a commercial pattern but sometimes have difficulty understanding all the instructions. This course will cover how to take your measurements correctly, choose the correct size and how to know how much fabric to buy, what the different instructions mean and how to create a beautiful garment from a commercial pattern. You will then cut out the paper pattern and also cut and overlock your pattern pieces and start to make your garment. I will send you recommendations of a simple pattern to choose to bring with you.
